What the notice actually said

January 8 six-device list started the year. HERO, nines, fourteens, tens, twelves, fives — different calendars. The 79 is the pile. Your serial number is the ticket. If your logger is Motive and still registered, the 79 is industry hygiene, not your citation.

Use this when a broker says “FMCSA banned ELDs.” They banned non-compliant identifiers, 79 times and counting in that sentence, via Appendix A. The registered list is the live truth. Each purge still has its own 60-day date. Seventy-nine is not one out-of-service date.
