What the notice actually said

Named hardware is useful because people still advertise clones under new stickers. January 8, 2025, FMCSA revoked six devices including BLUE STAR ELD, ROAD STAR SOLUTIONS, United Eld, Speed ELD, and two TrackEnsure units.

Replace by March 9, 2025 or the box is out of service. This is the early-2025 six-device list — the start of the year’s purge that later hit 79 in the twelve-device bulletin.

If you bought those names in late 2024, March 9 was the invoice. Same 60-day paper-or-software bridge as every later list. After that date, revoked means no ELD.

AOBRD sunset was 2019. This page is the ELD registered list, not a grandfather story for old iron.

If the identifier matches this list, it has been dead since March 2025 unless FMCSA put it back. Check the live list, not a 2024 invoice or a new vinyl decal.

What it changes on Monday

We did not wait for the vendor. Motive stayed. Partners still get a list check before we put their truck on a live-load.

See the later 2026 lists on this blog if you think “that was last year.” The six-device names still show up in clone ads with the serial filed off.

Year statistic without re-reading July 20 math: 79 devices. Twelve-device calendar: July 20, 2026.

Owner-operators: logger is onboarding. Dispatch: +1 (847) 702-8181.

What we will — and will not — do

We will not run BLUE STAR, ROAD STAR, United, Speed, or those TrackEnsure identifiers after March 9, 2025 unless the live list says they are back. We did not wait for a vendor email.

We will not treat “last year’s purge” as closed business while the same names sell under new stickers. The identifier is the ticket.

Call the desk if you are not sure what is in the windshield. +1 (847) 702-8181. Bring the name on the device.

Short glossary

The jargon, in the order it showed up — no extra theory.

TrackEnsure
Provider name in this six-device bulletin — two of its devices were pulled. Check current list status, not a 2024 invoice.

Only the live FMCSA list answers that. A 2024 invoice does not.

AOBRD?
