What the notice actually said

July 9, 2026, ten more identifiers left the registered list. Late-summer 2026 was not a quiet ELD year if you were still shopping clones on a Facebook marketplace.

Sixty days lands on September 8, 2026. That is the only math. Everything else is a vendor email. After that date, a revoked box is no ELD and a CVSA sit.

This list sits between the July 20 twelve-device out-of-service date and the August 6 five-device list. Three calendars in one summer. Mash them and you will miss one.

If your shop treats “ELD news” as one story, you will miss a deadline. Identifiers and dates are the only things that matter.

A provider can relist after fixing Appendix A deficiencies. Do not bet MC# 875229 on it. The live list is eld.fmcsa.dot.gov/List.

What it changes on Monday

We check the list when a truck is dispatched, not when a Facebook ad says “FMCSA approved.” A lease box with a July clone still has to match the list on September 9.

If someone says they swapped “after the summer one,” ask whether they mean July 20, September 8, or October 6. We still look at the windshield.
