HHG brokers: $25,000 bond, estimate, carrier list, rights booklet — we still do not move your sofa
Household-goods brokers faced a $25,000 bond and pre-contract disclosures starting in 2011–2012; PRIDEUSA still will not move your household sofa.

What the notice actually said
The sofa will not fit, and it is not our commodity. February 25, 2011: household-goods brokers must give MC number, estimates and fees, a list of carriers they use, the Rights and Responsibilities booklet, and a statement they are not the motor carrier — before contract.
Bond or trust minimum $25,000 as of January 1, 2012. Property-broker financial responsibility under MAP-21 is a different bond. Mixing them is how a sofa shows up on a 53-foot tender.
Hostage loads and surprise fees are why this rule exists. A freight broker arranging dry van is not this statute set. ProtectYourMove.gov is the consumer door.
We still do not bid three-bedrooms. Operation Protect Your Move is the later sting. This page is the 2011 disclosure and bond skeleton.
The 2004 household-goods consumer-protection rule is the earlier curb chapter — 100 percent binding, 110 percent non-binding. Read them as a stack, not as dry-van linehaul.
What it changes on Monday
We point HHG victims at NCCDB and ProtectYourMove. We do not haul the sofa. Companion sting: Protect Your Move op. 2004 curb rule: 110 percent.
Freight: Get a Quote. Packet for property brokers who want a named MC: For Brokers.
If a consumer tenders a household to MC# 875229, we decline early. That is kinder than a no-show at the curb.
We are not your mover and we are not an HHG broker. The $25,000 bond is not our product and not the property-broker number.
What we will — and will not — do
We will not move your sofa. We will not bid a three-bedroom as dry van, and we will not pretend the $25,000 HHG-broker bond is a property-broker bond.
We will point hostage-load victims at ProtectYourMove.gov and NCCDB. We are not the mover and we are not the complaint desk for a household.
Freight that fits a 53-foot box: +1 (847) 702-8181. The sofa stays with an HHG carrier.
