What the notice actually said

The door says 2486192 before the truck moves because that is the rule. Effective July 3, 2000, new interstate carriers file MCS-150 and mark power units with the USDOT number before placing them in service — not 90 days later.

ICC numbers got a two-year sunset to July 3, 2002. Legal name or a single trade name as on the MCS-150. A mismatched door is how double-broker fog starts at the gate.

A lease truck without the number matching the carrier operating it is a roadside gift. Do not buy a “leased MC” sticker pack.

We will mark the power unit with USDOT 2486192 and MC# 875229 before it rolls. We will not rent those numbers or run a blank door on a “90-day” story this rule killed.

We will not put a trade name on the door that is not on the MCS-150. One name, matching the census form.
